This week our product team released a major update to the platform. We’re proud to announce Custom Evaluations and Example Datasets in our latest release that make it even easier to detect anomalies and take action. We’re excited to show your our latest features now available in Radiant.

Easily create Custom Evaluations to build precise measurements of your projects.

Radiant ships out of the box with 20 metrics to get users started quickly, but every project has unique characteristics that require evaluations that meet the needs of that use case. Now users can create their own evaluators directly in Radiant:

Radiant custom evaluators allow users to quickly set up a specific evaluation backed by an LLM. Users can define their evaluation by asking the model to categorize each response with a specific output format. For example: “Evaluate this input and output and if they are in a language other than English, set the output as ‘true’.

Users can opt for the output to be in boolean, categorization, or numeric outputs based on the nature of the evaluation they are building. This creates structured data that can be searched in radiant metrics.

In the table view you can now easily add and export custom metrics.

Datasets allow you to improve the quality of your LLMs

Once Radiant has flagged potential anomalies, users can quickly confirm anomalies or mark events as expected behavior. Radiant now allows users to save any number of events as a dataset. Datasets make it easier to collect events in one place to provide examples to LLMs for fine tuning, to share with collaborators or to use to improve prompts and evaluations.
